Just a quick update on MaKenna. She had blood work, chest xrays, blood sugar, an ultrasound of her brain, a spinal tap to check CSF, she will be having another echo cardiogram, and an MRI tomorrow. We have seen several pediatricians and we did see a neurologist today as well. For a second there I thought I was over reacting, and just being paranoid. Im greatful I took everyones advice BC we were told just a while ago our sweet princess could be having some kind of spinal or brain related problem and that even the neurologist is concerned to the point that we will be here until we get an answer. This is probably the scariest and most upsetting thing that we have dealt with. I have cried more in the past two days, and I never thought my world could fall apart so quickly. Walking these hallways seem to get harder each day, I dont know how some of these parents here make it. I dont know how they keep up with their lifes outside of the hospital/ other children / bills/ jobs and taking care of their sick children. I have questioned my faith and I have made pleas with God. I have tried to hold it together but watching her have to go through all this and struggle so hard breaks my heart. I feel like Im dreaming and all this will go away if I just wake up, but the truth is this just hurts. They have now put her on a wide spectrum antibiotics to treat any infections she may have but cant find yet. All I ask is if u have time please say a prayer for us and sorry if i dont respond to each message, its just too much to handle sometimes.
