Just a quick update on the political issues with Australian community TV which could see an end to one of the main platforms that supports 4wd TV: Just to update you on the campaign – we have had a meeting with the Minister recently and he is still very non-committal to CTV in the long term – in this meeting he cited our “weak ratings” as his primary concern. This is despite the fact that we out-rate NITV, competitive with SBS2 and do better than most Foxtel channels. Reading between the lines he wants all CTV stations out of the picture to enable a clear and unencumbered sale of spectrum we currently occupy for commercial purposes in the next couple of years. We are starting to gather support from a large variety of sources and right across the political spectrum. As it stands we will not be broadcasting beyond 31st December although we have confidence that this will be renewed another year, beyond that its unclear. Obviously from our point of view it is difficult to continue as a going concern if we have no certainty. We are hopeful that if we keep the pressure up this may at least cause Turnbull to pause to consider. And then who knows how the landscape may change.
