Just a reminder about November’s branch meeting…it is early this month on Tuesday, November 11, at Tracy Gee Community Center, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Program Topic: Although the Equal Pay Act of 1963 has been in existence for almost 49 years, the reality is that women get still paid less than men. In 1963, women who worked full-time, year-round made 59¢ to the dollar. Today, women make 77¢ to the dollar. That means the wage gap has narrowed by less than half a penny per year. EEOC’s Joe Bontke will give a succinct overview of the Law and will be ready to take your questions, comments and suggestions.
