Just a reminder about safe use of the fantastic new play - TopicsExpress

Just a reminder about safe use of the fantastic new play equipment. The Academy cannot take responsibility for the safety of your child outside of Academy hours. Please ensure your child uses the equipment responsibly and safely. This has been discussed with the children and they are aware of our expectations. The children are very lucky to have such brilliant equipment so lets make sure they stay safe whilst using it. Here is a copy of the letter sent to parents earlier this week. Dear Parent/carer, As you will have noticed, the Academy has invested a great deal into improving the play opportunities for your child. Magically, over the summer holidays, the play fairies have been and left some fantastic equipment. This further enhances what we offer and has enhanced the look at feel of our Academy. We have “Centenary Towers” on the Key Stage 2 playground along with a wonderful gym. In the Early Years outside area there is a range of rustic frames and activity areas. This equipment may be made available to Key Stage 1 children during the week at play times. A huge thank you must go to the PTFA for donating towards our new equipment. Without their support, and from our parents too, it would have been difficult to complete all that we have. We know you child will enjoy using this equipment but to ensure their safety it is important that you and they follow some simple rules. We will be providing the children with guidance on how they can enjoy it safely and keep themselves from harm. There will always be supervision close at hand to ensure children act responsibly but if an accident occurs due to their irresponsible use then we cannot accept responsibility even if it occurs during school time. Please can you reinforce the need for them to manage their own safety. Furthermore, we advise that you do not let your child use the equipment out of school hours and the responsibility for their safety will be yours. Please note that this applies to the trim trail on the South Site too. I am sure you your child will enjoy many hours of fun and exercise using the equipment during their time at Huntingtower. We look forward to you supporting the well being of your child by following the simple guidance offered. Thank you for your support with this matter. Yours sincerely Mark Anderson Head Teacher
