Just a reminder for everyone to check their bank accounts daily. I had my debit account compromised and I am alert to all the scams. The only way I can figure they got it was at Loves in Thomson. I swiped the card at the pumps and it asked for my zip but the keypad was non-responsive. It may have been a VERY good fake card reader but what I cant figure is how the screen knew to ask for my zip. The only other place I used it was at Chilis in Evans. It was out my sight when I paid. Last night I got a call from my credit union asking me to check my account to verify some charges. Seems I was in Houston at some Chevron station. There are $250 in pending charges. Luckily I caught it and called immediately and had the card cancelled. I am very careful with the card and even then they got me.
