Just a reminder given recent news: Tony Abbott on telling fibs in public. I know politicians are going to be judged on everything they say but sometimes in the heat of discussion you go a little bit further than you would if it was an absolutely calm, considered, prepared, scripted remark. Which is one of the reasons why the statements that need to be taken absolutely as gospel truth [are] those carefully prepared, scripted remarks. Most of us know when were talking to people, or listening to people, when we can put absolute weight on whats being said and when its the give and take of standard conversation. 7:30 Report 17 May 2010 No cuts to education, no cuts to health, no change to pensions, no change to the GST and no cuts to the ABC or SBS.
