Just a reminder or for those who didnt see my previous post, on Thursday 8 January, at 3 pm, there is a meeting at my home for anyone who is interested in volunteering or could give advice on setting up a scheme to feed homeless and/or isolated people on a regular basis. Please do not mention Patch, they do a wonderful, but different job. We are not looking to replace any existing services, but to fill gaps and complement those. I need people who may know homeless or extremely lonely people. Those who would like to help in the project and this does not necessarily mean those who are able bodied, as sometimes a sympathetic ear is all that is needed. Of course we do need people to cook, clear up, clean etc as well. I have now got a hairdresser willing to pop in and give her services, Zoe Robertson. Some people have kindly offered to give some alternative therapies, but more would be gratefully received. Our aim is to take an holistic approach to help people feel better and to build confidence. We do need a chiropodist prepared to give their services free if anyone could help with that. Please let me know if you would like to get involved in any way. We will also need a hall, so if you have a friendly vicar in Milford ....
