Just a reminder, the Columbus Board of Education is considering adding an additional day off from classes for students on on January 14, 2015. The proposal and recommendation is to establish Records Day for both traditional and year round schools, and to cancel classes on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Records Day will provide an opportunity for district personnel to focus on mandated reporting and other critical activities that otherwise require time away from providing direct student support. Records Day is also observed in other school districts, such as Pickerington Local Schools and Olentangy Local Schools. The proposal and recommendation to establish Records Day was formed in collaboration by the leadership of the District’s employee unions and associations and Superintendent Dr. Dan Good. The Columbus Board of Education will consider a resolution adopting the revised calendar at its Tuesday, December 16, regular business meeting.
