Just a reminder to our American friends that we are offering 2 lots of Full Blood Lowline embryos, collected in Australia and stored in the US, at the Get Back to Grass Sale in Athens, Texas this Saturday, 18th October. 1. Basket of 3 embryos from the mating of Ardrossan Neika & Ardrossan Findon, (both dec’d) A.Neika is the daughter of Ardrossan Marquisite, herself a daughter of TRA M275 (Pearl), selected by Ardrossan at the Trangie Dispersal Sale for her depth and length. Pearl, with a birth weight of 45lb, as a heifer, had an Average Daily Weight Gain of 0.7092gms and was one of the top Lowline Foundation Performing Females. Neika’s sire, Broken Arrow Nero, Mature weight 1746 pound, is also the sire of Ardrossan Neron, who is well known to American Breeders and has proven himself as a sire of Australian and American quality cattle. Neika, whose conformation reflected not only here dam’s femininity, but her sire’s volume and muscle expression, produced a calf a year with progeny selected to be exported to Thailand. A.Findon Dam: A. Carla and Sire: A. Richmond Findon was Grand & Small Breed Champion at Royal Melbourne Show in 2000 with over 100 Lowline entrants. His son Findon’s Royale, exported to the US, has produced many excellent examples of the Breed in the US. These embryos represent one of the last unique opportunities for Breeders to add quality Australian Lowline genetics directly into their herd. 2. The opportunity to own 4 Grade 1 embryos from the mating ARD Y194 Ardrossan Kameo & ARD D367 Ardrossan Overcast The dam of these embryos, Ardrossan Kameo, weighing 980 pounds. Out of the volume packed, lengthy cow Ardrossan Heiress and sired by Ardrossan Franz, himself a son of The Glebe Woodstock, Kameo expressed feminity and fertility in a very attractive package. Kameo consistently produced an attractive calf each year with their dam’s perfect temperament. The sire, Ardrossan Overcast, 48” at the hip and with a mature weight of 1497pounds, has proven himself over both Stud and Commercial cows of all sizes. His progeny reflect his quiet, easily handled temperament as well as his muscle power, depth and length. Overcast’s dam, Ardrossan Treasure, has been a great asset to Ardrossan and we reluctantly allowed her to be exported to the US, 18 months ago. This flush is the only mating of these two outstanding Australian Lowlines and the embryos represent the type of Lowline genetics that Ardrossan is known for, giving an opportunity for an astute American breeder to add them to their herd. Shown are from l-r Heiress Overcast and Carla & Findon
