Just adopted a 3 year old Lavender female. I really like her, but she is not tame, rattles her tail at me and is now striking at myself and my kids. Shes a lovely girl who has lived a bit of a neglected life. Is there any hope of making her a pet? She has a permanent home with us no matter what, but I would love to have her be more tame. Its only been two weeks, and I hold her everyday for 15 minutes except after feeding. She even musks all over me. Any suggestions or help? She is in a 40 gallon cage on Cyprus mulch with hides and a big water dish. This was the day we brought her home.
