Just an FYI...anyone traveling 95 South, just after the Dale Blvd. exit 156 on a motorcycle, should be aware of grooves cut in the asphalt to remove the white lane lines due to lane shift. Last night when Karen Reed and I, were riding home, we were taking the Rt. 234 exit 152B, and dropped into one of the grooves cut in the exit turn. Of course riding at night, I couldnt immediately tell how deep the groove was and dropped into it about 50-55 mph or so. Both of us managed to just hold on and rode it out. I have no problem admitting it was an exhilarating moment. All right, if the truth be known, with the bike violently rocking and rolling, side to side, the element of surprise caused slight vacuum between my ass and the seat. So, just a WARNING to all riders in that area, BEWARE, use CAUTION! Special thanks to VDOT for no warning and for not having a F*cking clue what its like to be on a motorcycle, especially at night, and to experience such a moment of ones life passing before them in an instant. I do, however, thank God nothing came of it and we made it safely home. :
