Just another post before I start on some painting in my garden workshop... I want to say Ive been thinking a lot lately about my prices and the Original painting verses prints selling debate /options (many of you know how I strangle myself thinking about money and often dont do my best work when there is a large amount of money in payment..weird but true) Well I have come to the conclusion of why I do this....the reasons why I run this page and why I paint and its because I LOVE TO..its because I am grateful every day that people get pleasure from looking at my work..its because I enjoy sharing my creativity.. and because I think that its important to the world as a whole to share creativity.... I love to see my work going into others homes..its a big thrill to me..and if that means that I sell my original work at lower prices to make it available to lots of people that wouldnt normally buy art...then that makes me happy...really happy..happy to the biggest amount of happiness that there can be...(i have put prices higher in the past...maybe on things that I wanted to keep or in different circumstances...maybe art galleries arnt for me afterall!!!!) and I know there are lots of you that think I sell my original paintings lower than they should be..but thats ok...I dont want to be driven by money..I want to be driven by happiness... and so my originals will stay as low as I can ...thats not because I undervalue myself ...its because I want to share the happiness :-) really seriously hand on heart if I didnt need to earn a living I would just give my work away... I often do anyway :-) So heres to happiness for you all and may we all live in a world where money doesnt equal the true value of things..shine brightly x x x If you are a new liker please stop and say hello :-)
