Just arrived back home from Dallas......certainly an afternoon of reflection and inspiration.....I left church early, ran home and changed clothes and headed for Dallas.....it rained on me all the way over there and a wreck had I-30 West slowed down for about 30 minutes near Greenville....and, when was the last time you were at Parkland....theyve covered up all the parking with buildings for either them or Childrens Medical Center.....took forever to find a parking place.....was grateful that I had taken the time to go and visit with the guys....they are all doing better, but still in pain and will have a long recovery....James hopefully will get moved out of ICU in a day or two.....keep remembering them in your thoughts and prayers....And, as I left and went for a fix of inspiration at the bookstore, I couldnt help but think that I could walk out and go on with things in my life, and their worlds have been changed for weeks and months....Makes you feel really selfish when you gripe or complain about anything......and then you reflect on just how fragile life is.....last Sunday afternoon, they were just like us, looking toward another week, trying to figure out how to get things done and thinking about all the things that they needed to do.....we all should capture every moment, Thank the Good Lord for protecting us, and ask his blessings on those around us! Thank you, Lord for protecting this country boy on a journey in the rain! And, Hopkins County sure looked good when I got home!
