Just as Joseph’s brothers threw Joseph into a pit due to their perceptions of him, their opinions, pride, envy… Children of G-d can throw themselves into a pit, denying their true Godliness, the sacredness of who they are in Him. INSTEAD may we leave in the pit our opinions, pride, idols…and all the lies that have taken root in us, denying how beautiful we are, taunting us…because in His Mercy and Love we know that... He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a Rock, and established my steps. (Ps 40:2)
