Just as an aside, I am very please to see the federal government end the TFW program for the hospitality sector. This program has been abused by many companies to the detriment of both foreign workers and youth. When I was approached by a consultant that helps companies achieve TFW permits, I was told that unless I was willing to lie about local applicants I would not qualify for a TFW. That told me what the nature of the program is, and we have no interest in such a program. In more positive moves it is great to see Temporary Work Permits given to all International Students. This universal approach to opportunities is far more beneficial than the indentured model of the TFW.
