Just back from seeing Public Image Ltd at the Shepherds Bush - TopicsExpress

Just back from seeing Public Image Ltd at the Shepherds Bush Empire they were huge! But as an added bonus they were supported by The Selecter :-) . When I was an adolescent I had a thing about Pauline Black – she was absolutely fantastic! It was brilliant I was dancing like a Ska inspired spaz and grinning like a maniac :-) . Unfortunately Pauline had to point out that next year is their 35th anniversary – I am so bloody old :-( . I stood next to her in the foyer, but I couldn’t summon the courage to ask her to ask her to take a photo with me :-( . I am completely crap when it comes to dealing with semi-famous people that I like. The best I can usually manage is blurting out – ‘I love your stuff’ and running away :-P . The crowd was fairly sparse for The Selecter so I had a great time. However, when PIL were on I had to resort to the standing at the bar strategy. Yes, I did get quite squiffy again :-). It was a good night PIL were truly boss and with The Selecter supporting it was phenomenal :-)
