Just back from three days and nights sailing from Bunbeg to the continental shelf and just 70 miles from Scotland to watch the movement of whales, sharks, dolphins and migrating birds, with Garreth and Damien Doherty and Anna Murphy of Selkie Sailings, also John Mc. Clory and Pol a Bhicycle in the Ketch sailing boat, Mathilda. One awesome, life enhancing experience. We sailed about 250 miles under the Milky Way and brilliant stars at night, encountering pilot whales, basking sharks, common dolphins, blue fin tuna, sun fish and bio- luminescence . Then stopped off for a night in Tory, where we enjoyed our fish catch from earlier in the evening, pollack, mackerel, coley with entertainment from Francis, the island nurse and later some beautiful singing and guitar and mandolin and bodhran playing by the boys in the hotel. Then stopped off to explore Inis Bo Finne on the way home today ! Thanks Garreth for the invitation and to all the guys in the team, couldnt meet a better bunch of guys all pooling together. We also took the Donegal flag to the edge of the continental shelf and back.! Now for good luck on Sunday ! ( Ill post a few photos after I check them on the PC.)
