Just back to the crash pad from the track and what an oustanding day it was too. A bit of a scary moment when one of the cars had an off into a crowded bank but no serious injuries fortunately! Race Control sorted the site and an awesome day of qualifying ensued. Tomorrow is race day and with 125 offroaders on the grid and millions of dollars of cars ready to take on 1000kms, the mass start out onto a few kms of rolling farmland is going to be epic! This is the largest motorsport event in the southern hemisphere (like a Bathhurst on dirt) and the venue is superb as is the atmosphere. If you can make it out here (about 12km up Napier Taupo Rd and into forest) you will not be disappointed. Access is ok for 2wd and well supported and we have good coffee, catering, shelter, food, bar, good people and above all ACTION - google or facebook the Enzed Taupo 1000 Seriously worth it!
