Just because you are in a relationship with someone does not mean you have to have the same opinion, share the same views or stand on the same leg as said person. You need to Respect them and their right to hold such views but you do not need to share the same belief. People in relationships are still separate people, with their own opinions, views and beliefs. Love does not require exact compatibility and I am frustrated that people get punished or frowned at for their partners views or decisions. I am insulted when I am asked how i could possibly stay in a relationship with someone who has such opinions. I am my own person as he is his own person. We do not stand on the same side of the road all the time. But I accept his opinion as his own and mine as my own and we go from there. I do not need someone to agree with me or validate my opinion to be able to have a relationship with them. So I say to the many people who seem to have an issue at the moment. I do not always share the same opinion on issues as him, we do not always agree and because he says something does not necessarily mean that I agree, but I have respect enough to share my opinion on the matter while not belittling him just because our views are different. Maybe some of you should learn to do the same.
