Just been watching an amazing program on 7 Two about the Rig Tender Skandi Arctic; sister ship to the Skandi vessels that have been using Portland as their home port while carrying equipment and men to the off-shore oil rigs. Absolutely amazing to see what is crammed on board and what the ship is capable of doing in addition to the above with diving facilities, including pressure chambers that the divers can use for a number of weeks. Funny though with the mix of air that they breathe and their voices all sounded like Donald Duck as a result. Enthralling, amazing, informative, and just plain gob-smacked at what goes on, on board.
