Just before Christmas, Clyde was hit by a car. Our friends at A-Animal Clinic sent him to us since he was in bad shape -- shattered pelvis in five places, hip out of socket, and his spine was fractured at the base of his tail. Despite his severe injuries, Clyde remained brave while our emergency crew stabilized him. Three days later, he was strong enough for surgery. As you can see from the radiographs posted, Dr. Hotchkiss had a lot of work to do putting him back together again. Three weeks later and Clyde is healing great! Mom even thinks she saw his broken tail wag a little. Although we didn’t think that was possible, some say dogs wag their tails with their hearts. Love (and some good doctoring) conquers all!
