Just burned my thumb putting wood in the fireplace, I immediately remembered reading an article about what to put on burns, I found it interesting because Id never heard of putting egg whites on a burn before. So I went to the frig, grabbed an egg, open the dishwasher to look for a bowl but I saw a coffee cup and I grabbed it sat it on the counter and cracked the egg and put my thumb into the egg white, I didnt want to take the time to separate the egg, the article said the sooner you apply the egg white the better and It was hurting and I want relief. I think I may have had my thumb in the egg 5 minutes and took it out, IT WORKED! NO PAIN. The skin feels a little tight but no pain and so far no blister. Next time you get burned try an egg white.
