Just calculating: -Suppose you have hypothetically speaking 20 kg of excessive body fat. -1kg of fat represents 9000 kcal. 20 kg = 180,000 kcal. To burn this fat, you could decide to run. When running about 1 km at about 9km/h you burn more or less 100 kcal. Depending on age, weight, hight, duration and other factors, about 25% of these kcal are provided by your stored body fat. In other words...running 1km = losing 25 kcal of stored body fat (about 2.5 grams).... Say you choose to stick to a diet that provides for your daily kcal needs without the kcal needed for your running exercises. Then, the numbers above mean you would have to run this much to loose your weight: 7200 km (8 times the distance from Monterrey to Mexico City for example).... running about 1,5 hours a day, that would mean Id have to run on a daily base for 534 days straight.....or in other words, 1 and a half year..... WTF.!?!?
