Just come back from a walk about around another part of the ward - TopicsExpress

Just come back from a walk about around another part of the ward after receiving a few messages this morning. First off was Devon Place to photograph the potholes that have appeared from water damage via the Big Arch and Lodge Road, this isn’t acceptable for the residents living there and I will be chasing up the progress with this issue later also asking for the holes to be plugged, sorry to the residents but this is all that can be done at the moment until the cause is dealt with. Walking up Church Road I was horrified to see the amount of water bottles left lying about Lion field, I haven’t a clue who plays there, but there’s a bin by the entrance to the field, please use it. Looks like half an hour there for me tomorrow litter picking the field on their behalf. Onwards then to Big Arch and as if by magic there’s a rose bush dumped there, better I suppose than what I usually find there. Church Road looks a bit grubby around British School Close area, so will arrange the street cleaners to litter pick the area. Next stop Talywain RFC Car Park to look at the Recycling Point after a complaint this morning, the cardboard bin is full, so will arrange to get it changed asap and yet again bags of bottles left lying about, just to remind you, they don’t collect bottles anymore, they go in your kerbside boxes. So this is classed as fly tipping and could lead to prosecution if your number plate is taken by neighbours. Finally a visit to Greenway to look at the damage done by inconsiderate visitors, who insist on parking on the grass verges to the dismay of the residents who complain to me about it. I will contact Bronafon to ask to refill and seed. Finally good to see that the mega pothole by the Globe Pub has been filled at last.
