Just confirmed I have in fact lost five pounds due to the progression of the disease. I guess I feel this is as great a time as any to announce I am now officially off all treatments. I have been weaned from all of the medications, and the disease is no longer being treated... I am NOT in remission however. Treatment has ended due to the fact there are no longer any treatments available in the United States. The only countries currently offering treatment at this stage are the United Kingdom and Israel. As many have known it has been my dream to move to Israel, and now it is looking like that could happen sooner than expected. The only treatment I can do in the USA now is the UV radiation therapies which according to US department of health is experimental EVEN though it has over 10 years of proven success abroad. Everything else is likely not going to help, and I am interested in avoiding surgery at all costs. Trying to manage symptoms as best as possible in the mean time as I find a way to move to Israel to resume treatment under a treatment plan that could have me in remission in under a month, and last for a long time. It sucks that the USA has not done more to research this illness to find a treatment that works long term like some other places, but I just need to focus now on moving to Israel, and hanging in as long as I can...
