Just cried my eyes out, Adam was so brave when he decide it was time to put his buddy/companion Patches his little Shih Tzu of 15 yrs. to sleep. Patches always rode on Adams lap from the minute I put him in his wheelchair in the morning till I put him in bed at night then he slept with Adam all nice and snuggled up to his back or near his stomach. Patches was on Adams lap with Adam rubbing his head ( it was hard for Adam to do this as his arms were to weak to move, so he could just move his fingers ), I was the first to cry! Dogs are a big part of families!
