Just despicable! Japan alone has 34 dolphinariums, next is the United States with 32, and then Mexico with 20, and Spain with 11. All other countries have less than ten and many like India and Costa Rica have none at all. The large number dolphin captivity parks in Japan is evidence that they slaughter pods as an excuse to make money off of captivity sales. In fact many of the kidnapped dolphins are sold to these Japanese parks. For example, last night Sea Shepherd Cove Guardians followed a truck transporting 4 endangered Pantropical Spotted Dolphins to Ooita Marine Aquarium in Japan. This is an 11 hours drive from Taiji and is extremely stressful and terrifying for the dolphins which were packed into cargo boxes as if they were comodity. There is nothing cultural or ethical about drive hunt dolphin slaughter and capture. There is also nothing educational about watching a starved sentient being perform idiotic tricks for small amount of dead rotten fish. #captivitykills #tweet4taiji #helpcovedolphins
