Just experienced one of those rare moments when you are hurriedly scooping your misbehaving two-year-old daughter off the floor of a pub after a lovely day meeting old friends, you can sense it is time to go home cos the little ones are getting tired and your thoughts are turning to pulling it all together, then suddenly you find you are being subjected to insults (to your face) by two well to-do 60+ your old men, who claim you do not know how to bring up children, why dont we just go somewhere else, and that they also once had young children who were a dam-site better behaved then ours! I stayed calm and pointed out to them how hard it is being a mum of two little children but that I love my children very much and am bringing them up to respect others, which clearly these men were not doing with us. As the abuse went on, lasting a good couple of minutes I managed to say to them that I hoped they would lye in their beds tonight and think about what they had said to me, standing there on my own with my two-year-old child on my hip. I realised that I was being bullied, thankfully I do not care for them so feel no hurt but feel cross that they felt so cocksure to openly verbally abuse a parent who is clearly trying to work it out. SO to all you mums and dads out there who work so hard every day to love and cherish your children. Some people just have NO idea. They certainly dont know your deal just as much as you dont know theirs. However, I do believe most people are decent good people just doing their thing. We just got to keep going and....
