Just feel the need to clarify. In my world, a Designer(mix breed/hybrid) puppy is a planned breeding with a certain outcome/ result in mind. The parents are typically pure bred, each of a different breed and when combined end up being the combination of each parent.(sometimes more one than the other) The pups in turn are not pure bred(the parents are, depending on the desired outcome of the pup). Some folks like to refer to these types of pups as mutts....I beg to differ..(and mutts are dogs too and need homes and love as well) Mutts, in my mind are pregnancies that happen by mistake or are unplanned per say by the owners usually with a multi bred mixture. I like to offer an option for folks who are interested in a smaller type dog to add to their family as there are no pet stores around our area and are getting to be fewer and fewer available in our state. I try to sell my pups at a reasonable price knowing how much it is to purchase over the internet with shipping and such, and also the cost involved with what I do. I try to be fair and devote as much time as I can to educate people about the new pup they are purchasing, but when it comes right down to it, my BIGGEST concern is the health of the puppy your getting and the health of the parents. Puppy Mills(not that ive ever been referred to as such) are facilities that have sickly dogs that are not up to date or at all vaccinated, usually are undernourished, almost never groomed and do not have quality of life as they are just meant for breeding purposes only with limited mobility. I LOVE what I do,what it is teaching my children, I LOVE the joy pups bring to folks and I LOVE to be challenged by the skeptics...lol
