Just feeling the need to post a response I gave to a person who was upset at an autistic kid who was HIRED to photograph an event. he was, i guess, bothering people at this event because they thought the kid was IN THEIR FACE and felt the need to complain b4 they thought. apparently they felt an announcement AND an explanation was needed for this kid to take pictures....... Ive known plenty of artists/photographers who get in your face and are applauded for it. If there was anyone with a camera up in my face and NO ONE IS ESCORTING THEM OUT, I think I wud safely deduce that that kid, or whom ever it is, was the photographer for the event. It was a wedding, right? I would of focused on the event and accepted that Sam was supposed to be there doing what he was doing. I guess a pin that says EVENT PHOTOGRAPHER would be a good idea for the people who were to wrapped up in themselves to see the obvious.... Just my humble opinion. I also would of known somewhere in my mind that there was something different about Sam and appreciated him for being him. Im used to ppl looking at me and my family due to the fact that I am the only hearing person in my ALL Deaf family and HEARD IT ALL because people ASSUMED I was Deaf, also. Needless to say I heard some of the most disgusting words of the ppl who thought it was safe to say what they THOUGHT was okay to say since, you know, they cant hear us.... I would love the look of horror as I would look at them and SAY I can hear you... Passionate about being who I am without judgement, so I do it for others effortlessly. I think if more ppl just let go of judging others, maybe, just maybe, ppl who are different wouldnt be looked at as in your face, they would just BE without it being a big or small deal to ANYONE.... Peace and bright blessings to all
