Just finished For Esme with Love and Squalor for the 3rd time and am still moved beyond tears the same as I was the first time I read it. It truly is a post WWII literary masterpiece regardless of how you feel about Sallinger...And no we did not name our girl after the character in the book, however, I wouldnt be bummed if she mirrored some of the characteristics...aside from the dead parents of course!
