Just finished a 2 week lecture on Co-ordinate Geometry with 100 level, Science and Engineering students. A topic cut my attention. It is LOCUS: is a set of points whose location satisfies or is determined by one or more specified conditions. This specific conditions if point(s) are called focus(foci). The most popular locus is the locus of a point which is called a circle. The center of the circle is the focus and the points on the circle form the locus. I now discovered that human beings, the way and manner we live our live describes a locus which has a focus. Education 1. The focus (foci) of a teacher are his/her students and his/her locus is the method of teaching of the topic/subject. 2. The focus of a student is his/her teacher and his/her locus is following the method of teaching of the topic/subject. 3. If a student in classes focuses on his/her handset in class while teaching is going on, he/she has lost focus and is on a wrong locus. This is porous. Marriage and Family 1. The focus of an husband/wife is his/her wife/husband and their locus his their children. 2. When a man/woman abandons his/her wife/husband and follows another woman/man, then he/she has lost focus and is on a wrong locus. This is porous. Relationship with God 1. Focus of a believer should be God and your Locus should be your fellow believers. 2. When leave your focus (God), then you walk in a wrong locus (unbelievers) and your like will become porous. 3. Saul the king focused on people and fame abandoned his former focus(God), hence, he lost his locus (relationship with Samuel, spirit of God) and started following a wrong locus (witch of Endor) and his life became porous (lost his kingship, lost the presense of God). Jesus says Wherever the treasure of a man his (focus), there his heart will be (locus). Treasure = focus, Heart thought =Locus. What ever you focus on his your treasure and which ever way you think is your locus. When a leader does not have a focus, he lead his followers on a wrong locus path. O lord, give NGR a leader with focus. Conclusion: Every Focus in life has a locus path. Every locus path has a focus. Be focused, then you will not miss your locus.
