Just finished a fun homework assignment :) Had to build (virtually) a Windows 7pro PC from components at newegg for $400. Monitor, OS, case, CPU, motherboard, drives, everything. Even after scavenging the budget bin of refurbished parts, I came in 54 cents over. Still, it is kinda amazing that a complete system could be built for this price. The copy of Windows 7 was THE most expensive item :P
