Just finished a study on Fig trees. Ever wonder why it was the Fig tree and sycamore (which is a version of Figs) that was getting cursed? Well you have to go back to the Law of First Mention, and the first time the Fig was mentioned was when Adam and Eve tried to cover themselves with Fig leaves after their sin against God. This was an act of self righteousness (instead of being covered by the Blood of Christ which is the only true cleansing of sin); therefore, the Fig tree is a symbol of self righteousness and goes totally against the Atonement and the gift of Grace we have through Jesus Christ! ? So what is your covering today?
