Just finished my first ever private job teaching English to a Thai couple at their home. Certainly an unexpected experience to remember. I was picked up by a top of the range Lexus and was driven to their home. On arrival the electric gate opened, then we entered the premises and all their really nice cars caught my eye. Think there was 6 altogether, all top of the range, a Bentley, Porshe, not sure what the others were. Then i got out the car and looked at the house, yeah it was like something from MTV Cribs. By this point I was a little intimidated to tell you the truth. These were obviously people of high standards who want the best of everything, and now they have me to teach them English. Not going to lie, I was doubting myself and was nervous the lesson would turn out to be a complete failure. But as I entered the house they gave me a warm welcome and we got straight down to business. I delivered the 2 hour lesson and they were great! They struggled at times with pronunciation and using subjective & demonstrative pronouns correctly, but the lesson appeared to be effective! Good extra dollar in my pocket! Think I will celebrate this evening by going to see Hercules at cinema! Same again next week! :-D
