Just finished the area where the TV sits in our Family room. We used to have an entertainment center that made the room feel much smaller. What I like about this room is that is incorporates so much of both our families. The small desk was my husbands grandfathers that I just recently painted. The french clock was my parents and I grew up with it as a small child, it houses a small dragon named Gareth. The harp was made by my father for my mother. The Lincoln rocker was bought by my parents from my aunt and I grew up with it. The 1860s cast iron fireplace front was given to us by my husbands aunt. The banjo clock was my husbands grandfathers. The arm chair was my parents and my mother made the matching footstool. The musical italian marquetry tables were generously given to us by a friend because she liked my story about how I loved opening my aunts table. The Bible story quilt was made by my grandmother and many of the ladies in the family contributed squares to it. The buffet with the TV was just a Craigslist find that I recently painted. The two Duncan Phyfe chairs were online garage sale finds that I redid. The stained glass panels were found at a resale shop. As usual, its ever evolving. :)
