Just for fun what ya got for trade only... 1997 Jetta Trek Edition. Replaced the cluster due to intermittent tach and speedo working with 117k miles on it. New cluster shows 193k but have the original cluster still. Car does have a rebuilt title but never any paint work. I am guessing it is salvage due to the mild hail damage on the top surfaces. Now for the good. New timing belt, water pump, accessory belt, new tires, new front brake pads and rotors, new rear brake pads, new drivers front wheel bearing, new plugs, new air filter, serviced ac with ice cold air, new rear window regulators, new Bosch wiper blades, new thermostat, new coolant flange for the head, new CTS, coolant flush with G13, new Pioneer CD player, full alignment, TT chip, new shooter bushing kit, shift tower rebuild kit, new clutch, and much more. All work and parts listed have less than 1,000 miles on them. Car could use some minor things. No clamshell for the steering wheel surround, shifter may need a minor adjustment ( harder to get into 1st gear than it should be but no grinding) heat isnt blazing hot but is hot. I would do a CLR treatment. The heater core does not leak. Exhaust has a minor leak but not terrible. Just trying to be upfront about the car. It is awesome for sure. Just figured I would see if anything interesting popped up for trade. This car is very nice. A little more work and you could have a killer MK3 2.0L. It truly is in good condition overall. Zero rust.
