Just found out that, by virtue of the fact that I am employed in the Regions Bank Tower, apparently Im entitled to a free membership to the buildings health club. And while this gym would never be described as a state-of-the-art fitness center, it has everything I personally need for my low impact, old(er) guy exercise regimen. On top of that, free certainly trumps any kind of special deal that those other franchise mega-gyms could ever possibly offer. Talk about an unexpected fringe benefit of doing what it is that I do. Maybe Ill finally get serious about shedding that protective layer of fat which is currently surrounding my already carefully sculpted six pack abs.
