Just got a letter in the mail from Arlington Cemetery in Drexel - TopicsExpress

Just got a letter in the mail from Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill. I couldnt help but wonder who was writing me from the cemetery, or what this could be about. Truth be told, I havent been feeling that well lately so it had me thinking a bit. Had they heard something? I was a little curious to say the least. So, with a bit of trepidation, I tore open the envelope and read the contents. The letter began with CONGRATULATIONS! in all capital letters. Congratulations? Not really the salutation I was expecting from a cemetery, but hey, thank you. Turns out that they were pleased to inform me that my family had been selected at random to be awarded one burial plot at absolutely NO COST. And yes, these folks like using all caps to get their point across. Anyway, so I went to toss it in the trash, but something stopped me on the way. Sure, my wife and I had decided long ago that we didnt want to be buried and that we are going to be cremated, but hey, this was a FREE piece of land that were talking about here. Ive always wanted to be a landowner, and here was my chance. So, Im gonna take it. Im thinking I might build on it. Maybe a little bungalow, some place my wife and I can hang out on the weekends and holidays. Just a little getaway retreat. Maybe Ill turn it into one of those time share properties. Im sure the neighbors are quiet. Or maybe Ill just plant some corn.
