Just got a letter in the mail from our Insurance company & they have a new program called The Half Tablet program. Now they want me to get my doctor to write a scrip for my BP at twice the strength that way I will only take a half of a pill a day instead of a whole pill. Now....What doctor in there right mind is gonna double the strength on a prescription and let the patient take only a half of a dose??? So instead of 30pills at 50mg they want it rewritten at 15 pills at 100mg. So it saves me on my copay. This is the craziest thing Ive ever heard. Has anybody else heard of this?
