Just got an email from one of my professors, asking me to stop doing homework during her class because its disrespectful. So I politely emailed her back saying that I have not been doing other work during her class, and that every morning during her class, I have actually been writing down the tips and resources she is providing for us in her lectures. I also told her that I would be more than happy to stop doing so if she felt that this was disrespectful, and that I apologize if her feelings were hurt by my note-taking on the front row.
