Just got back from 4 pm visit. Mom is off of oxygen and her arterial line is out. We are hoping to have her moved to an ICU bed at Lifecare tomorrow. Were working closely with an awesome social worker at University Health in order to coordinate everything including making it possible for us to begin planning funeral arrangements for dad. Mom is more talkative and worried about how long it might take for her to recover. I read her some of the sympathy cards and Facebook posts. She seemed surprised at the outpouring of love. Her cheeks are rosy and her color is better than its been in months. She was just worn out. She got to FaceTime with Hunter Neucere and that was sweet. Over all she is naturally very weak and very sad. Mary Anderson and I are going to try to sit down sometime to begin the daunting task of writing dads obituary. I spoke with someone from Barksdale AFB this afternoon to they could start the process of changing my dads military retirement into my moms name, etc. We were able to locate important papers and documents that will be needed ASAP. Still looking for the rosary beads that my grandma gave to my dad 50+ years ago. Thank all of you for your concern, prayers, and generosity. Weve had meals delivered and the kindness being shed on us is unbelievable. God is good. Xoxo
