Just got back from a screening of the film Mistaken For Strangers / q&a with filmmaker Tom and brother Matt (singer for The National) and it was AWESOME. The movie is nothing like I expected it to be, but was utterly human and touching and inspiring and wonderful. It spoke directly to a process of contemplation Ive been in (perhaps youve read me writing about it here from time to time) about the relationship between vulnerability and art. Even more convinced after seeing this tonight that transformative work comes from leaning into ones own vulnerability. So. Inspired. What a cool experience.
