Just got back from an outdoor Parrots of the Caribbean Jimmy Buffet tribute band concert. During the show kids ran, chased, played....and danced to the music. We marvel at the baby trying to sing along with the radio, or dance with dancers on tv. As humans we seem to "get" music. A lot of people I know are musicians. They know the value of doing music. By the time kids get to 8-10 they have had individual music drummed out of them. We have segregated music into band, orchestra, choir, (not that that is totally bad) but we have left the joy of music for all behind. Why do we let that happen?
