Just got back from coffee at a cafe versus going to a restaurant. Cafes are more for regular folks, conversations about politics, and sometimes religion can be heard as though it were sports! Arguments follow. Ive never heard a decent conversation with either, unless people are in same political party or religion. Several months ago I walked out on a lunch with a dear friend who felt it was time I receive the lord into my life, it there was ever a chance of that, HEEEE messed it up. I told him I hate one sided conversations when it comes to religion and politics. Rather talk about politics, but then again... I dont discuss religion because that can be nasty. I have learned to stay away from this topic because it brings out the ugly in people. And my thing with politics is that I watch the NEWS, documentaries and The History channel enough to know that MAN still cant get it right! If you google Politicians and Corruption you will get not only the history but the politicians caught doing wrong today. Democrats and Republicans! One party more then the other stands out. Im not going there, but if curious, just google! So, discussions and debates on politics and religion is a big turn off. I was reminded that in my line of work, as an entertainer, that I should stay out of both. In reality my friend is right. I would hate to think I am just entertaining one certain group of people...Then in comes discussions about NFL sports teams!!! Mannnn, I remember being ridicule for picking Denver and Dallas as my favorite teams, not because I like football, but because one of my sons lives in San Antonio, Texas and he loves Dallas. I have my brother who is a big Denver fan, other then that, I dont have time to spend soooo many hours watching games!!! Funny though, but mentioning Dallas is like picking a religion or a political party! It can get nasty I tell you, and ridiculous! Yea, Luciano, stay away from discussing politics, religion and SPORTS!...Hell, I have enough problems trying to convince alternative music listeners to go INDIE versus McRadio, but I am in my comfort zone when it comes to this.... (Note to self: Make sure this is my FB page!!! Not looking for debating on either topics. FB asked me whats on my mind. I simply answered...ON MY PAGE!)
