Just got back from putting Lily down. It was rough. The vet was very kind and he told us what he was doing before he did anything. Sad to find out that Lily had cancer and that is what caused her decline. He said even if we brought her in a month ago there is nothing that could have been done. So it was the most humane thing for us to do so she is in no pain. But my heart hurts. I held her and loved her through it all. She just had a big exhale of breath and she was gone. Thanks for all of your kind words and thoughts the past couple of days they meant the world to me.
