Just got back from seeing Deep Breath on the big screen. Gotta say, this new Doctor Who is the first one since Eccleston who felt like he was one of My Doctors. The pacing put the focus on the story and drama, the characters were all well-developed and interesting, and the Paternoster Gang should totally get their own show. Peter Capaldi wears the role like a stiff old coat, but one that you like because of its familiarity rather than its novelty. I look forward to seeing this season unfold. Rumor has it the Clara character will be leaving this season... I do hope they come up with a new companion (or group of them) who isnt a contemporary girl from our time. Id like to see someone from another time or planet, someone who has to adapt to our world just as much as the other alien worlds...
