Just got done with a day long meeting about children with developmental disabilities. Very informative and so glad i went. Lots of sharing of familiar stories and experiences, tears. Got lots of information about different advocacy groups available. Lots of representatives from Atlanta who are with these advocacy organizations. Learned us parents of these kids havr got to stand up for out kids because with the newly elected congress, assistance and funding for programs for OUR kids are about to be taken away. Seems they dont see children with special needs are a priority. So, start calling representatives, politicians and be the squeaky wheel!
