Just got home from a Monday after work weekly meeting I have been having with Kathy Lawrence and Miriah Wildin, and of course Anita, (she isnt on FB) for a while. We are meeting in preparation for the new addition to Mirisa Jones Benefit, that created the Mirisia Jones Scholarship to honor her life by giving a scholarship to a deserving LHS high school senior who is entering the nursing or medical related field. I did not know Mirisa, but I know Kathy and have for years, and I now know Miriah....and I know that they both find some peace i their hearts in this event. Even at our meetings Mirisa is there, I hear things about her from her Mom and her Sister :-) Grief and loss are difficult parts of life and coping and living on is often the most difficult part as well. This event and the new kids race to honor Baby Noah, who also lost his life, is one way to honor their memory and turn something positive out of something so tragic. I am lucky that I got asked to help, now I am asking you to help.....Bring your kids out in their costumes on October 11th starting at 6:30 pm at the Linton First Baptist Chuch to run, be silly, conquer some obstacles, get some candy, and to help honor a mother and her child, and help a family cope.......You bet I will be there, thats for sure: Noahs Night Out October 11th, 2014 at the Linton First Baptist Church Parking Lot Races include Terrifying Toddlers, Middle Aged Monsters and Kreepy Kids Registration is $10 per child, with an additional fee of $2.00 for kids in the same family.
