Just got home from the emergency room and this time for my husband - TopicsExpress

Just got home from the emergency room and this time for my husband (who is doing better, praise God). As we arrived to my apartments, the gate is broken and cars are everywhere and there is no space left. Mind you I have spent hours in the ER and Im tired, yet I had to park quite a distance and walk home. As we were walking, I started thinking about how it seems like so many of Gods children are facing various persecutions, struggling to make ends meet, suffering from ailments, and so on; and I was reminded of this Psalm: A psalm of Asaph Psalm 73 2 But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold. 3 For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. In the ER I saw on television how these famous rappers seemed to have it all while they glorified sin to the fullest; yet my friend who has dedicated her life to working for the Lord has to wonder if she will have a roof over her head!? Then I thought, do those rappers really have it all? They have money, but do they have real love, joy, and peace; most important salvation? We spend so much time watching others, whether in real life, reality shows, magazines, or online; that it becomes easy for the enemy to make us lose focus on what really matters and what true riches are. I had to get out of my bed to write this and encourage someone to not give up on God because it doesnt look the way you think it should look. If you say God is good all the time, MEAN IT! Like my former pastor Mose Boyd used to say, what part of All dont you understand? All means the sunny days as well as the rainy ones and Lord knows Ive had too many of each not to be a witness of Gods goodness!! Go ahead and read Psalm 73 and see how Asaph got through in spite of what he saw. May God keep you in perfect peace as you keep your mind on Him!
